Explore public health and experience being part of the UIC campus community! Heading link

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown the key role of public health in addressing an infectious disease
outbreak. But public health plays a much larger role in keeping our world a healthy place – see some of the key areas of public health below. PUBH 100 Health and the Public is designed to teach you about the many factors that affect the health of communities and society. The course is held on UIC’s campus on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 3:15 p.m. during the fall 2023 semester. In addition to the time spent in class, you should plan to spend 3-6 hours outside of class each week working on course activities. Each week, you will read, watch, do and discuss topics in public health presented by professors and practitioners on the UIC faculty.

This course is available to CPS students at no cost through a UIC-CPS partnership initiative.
